Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Philosophy

Your data is yours. Pathway is built with privacy by design: your information is stored on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, it is backed up and synced through your personal iCloud account. We do not operate our own servers to store your workouts or health data, and we do not sell or share your personal information.

Information Pathway Uses

Pathway may use the following information to provide its core features:

• Workout & Activity Data (Apple Health): If you grant permission, Pathway can read workout-related information from Apple Health to show workout details, routes, and related metrics inside the app. Pathway does not access Apple Health unless you approve it.
• Imported Files: If you import files such as GPX or FIT, Pathway processes the file on your device to generate your route, playback, and workout details. Imported files and derived data are stored locally (and optionally synced via iCloud, if enabled).
• Notes & App Data You Create: Any notes or other content you add in Pathway is stored on your device (and optionally synced via iCloud, if enabled).
• App Settings: Pathway stores your preferences (for example, display and playback settings) on your device.
• Subscription & Purchase Validation: Pathway uses Apple’s StoreKit to offer and validate subscriptions. We do not receive your Apple ID, payment details, or billing information.

How Pathway Uses Your Information

Pathway uses your information only to provide app functionality, such as:

• Displaying workouts, routes, and playback inside the app.
• Calculating and presenting workout metrics and visualizations.
• Organizing your saved workouts, imports, and notes.
• Keeping your data synced across your devices, if you enable iCloud sync.

We do not use your data for advertising, data brokerage, or selling personal information. We do not build behavioral profiles.

Apple Health Permissions

If you choose to connect Apple Health, you control exactly what Pathway can access through the iOS Health permissions prompt. You can review or change these permissions at any time in the Health app or in iOS Settings.

Pathway does not write to or modify your data in Apple Health or Apple Fitness.

Data Storage and Security

Pathway stores your data locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored and synced through your personal iCloud account. Pathway does not have access to your iCloud account or its contents; encryption and storage are handled by Apple’s infrastructure.

Third-Party Services

Pathway relies on Apple system services to function, such as Apple Health (HealthKit), iCloud, and StoreKit. Aside from those Apple services, we do not share your personal data with third parties.

Your Control

You are in control of your data. You can permanently delete all local data by deleting the app. If iCloud sync is enabled, you can manage Pathway’s iCloud data in your device settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last Updated” date above. If changes are significant, we may also note them in the app’s App Store listing or in-app messaging.

Terms of Use

Pathway is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) for App Store apps. By downloading or using Pathway, you agree to Apple’s EULA and the terms below.

1. Apple’s EULA Applies

Apple’s Standard EULA (linked above) applies to your use of Pathway. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple’s Standard EULA, Apple’s Standard EULA will govern to the extent of the conflict.

2. Subscriptions

Pathway may offer auto-renewing subscription options. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.

3. Health & Fitness Disclaimer

Pathway is for informational and personal tracking purposes only. It is not medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Always consult a qualified professional regarding health decisions.

4. Intellectual Property

The Pathway application, including its name, design, features, and underlying code, is the property of the developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

5. Refunds

Refunds for purchases or subscriptions are handled by Apple and are subject to App Store policies. Please request refunds through your Apple account if needed.

6. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of Pathway after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
